MN Governement Budgets and Function

Government has certain defined functions. Those are defined and limited by the United States Constitution. Beyond that, we should be ridding our lives of the Federal Government. When Government goes beyond those boundaries they are no longer helping the American people but hindering us.

What most elected Liberals and their seemingly blind followers think is that ALL Government is good. That absolute is absolutely wrong.

I am not in favor of no Government and no taxes. That is anarchy. I want limited Government and limited taxes. The frivolous spending by all parties has got to end. We the actual working class of Americans cannot continue to support this open check book style of Government at all levels. I refuse to continue to support this. I speak out against it, I vote for those that believe in limited Government. Or at least those that claim they won't grow Government as fast as the Liberals want.

Today's elected officials are notorious for using extortion to justify raising taxes. The extortion is the false claims that essential services will be cut if we do not increase taxes. The truth is that the funding for non-essential pork projects, welfare, aid to illegals, buildings and ball parks for privately own institutions and the list goes on, are funded first. After all those are funded we hear the plea that there isn't enough money for police, fire departments, school buses (one of my favorites used by school boards) and mass releases of prisoners due to lack of funding to pay the guards.

These are all actual extortion tactics that have been used in this state to justify increasing taxes.

When the Mayor and extortionist of St. Paul justified increasing taxes this year he said that the police department would be under funded. Then he pulled the Liberal heart strings by saying certain parks would be closed and libraries would be shutdown. The City Council never considered cutting frivolous spending and pet projects. The even launched a totally bogus City Budget feedback website that let users suggest how to distribute the cities funds. The left out certain sacred budget items like handouts to illegal aliens, welfare and food stamps for those that have made a career of sponging off the Government. So in the end there was no real way to balance the budget with their on line budget tool. I did submit my plans which did cut the items I could actually cut and increased spending for police, fire and infrastructure while decreasing taxes. My guess is they discarded my proposal.

When the Democrats in the MN House and Senate forced tax increases on us this year they claimed it was to stop bridges from collapsing. However, for years there has been plenty of money for welfare and food stamps for people, many of which refuse to work or are illegal aliens, MN Care, ethanol subsidies for an inefficient fuel that raises the cost of our food supply and the long list of other wasteful spending. Governor Pawlenty cut a few items from a bonding bill that were pure pork. The cries of shock and horror are almost deafening. That truth is Governor Pawlenty should have cut ALL the pork instead of picking and choosing which pork tasted best to him.
