No More Moderates

No More Moderates

The problem with the Republican party today is moderation.  Many people believe that all things are good in moderation.  This is hardly true.  Rebranding Conservatism as Moderate or Kinder Gentler or Compassionate means your taking the true essence or heart and soul out of Conservatism.  By definition Conservatism is compassionate.  How so? Simple, Conservatives are against welfare right?  That's what your told everyday by the main stream news media.  Well we believe in reducing the need for welfare by helping those in need to help themselves.  This is the Biblical principle of teaching a man to fish instead of just giving him a left over bit of fish every day or so.  This is just one example of how the main stream news media lies about us and sets to political stage in the favor of Liberalism.  After all saving planet Earth is good thing, but if point out their junk science your automatically in favor of total planetary annihilation.

It is time we start taking the fight back to the Liberals and their press agents, the main stream news media.

To that end I am pointing out two Republican Moderates in Minnesota.  We've called them RINO'S (Republican In Name Only), closet Liberals, traitors and more.  They are anything except Conservative.

In a recent interview John McCain (RINO) was asked about who he supported for the 2012 Presidential race.  http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/president/42078867.html  McCain says he'll wait and see who runs before talking about the 2012 elections. This is part of the problem. Why is the main stream news media is asking a failed RINO about anything? We were told for the months during the primaries that McCain was the one we had to get behind, he was loved by all including the main stream news media. That was until he clinched the nomination, then he was hated by the main stream news media. We failed in the selection of our candidate by letting the main stream media pick our candidate for us. This is like being the coach of a sports team and letting the coach of the opposing team call your plays. Do you think your going to win like that?  If you do you must be a Moderate Republican.

John McCain mentioned Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty as a possibility.  Let me state here and now NO!  In Minnesota we either love Tim or hate Tim.  The problem is he's a pretty boy fence sitter.  While Governor Pawlenty has proven certain Conservative traits he has failed on critical points.  He is a huge proponent of expanding ethanol from E10 to E20 and has asked the Federal government to make E20 mandatory.  I've already proven E10 ethanol is a scam, in another blog post, and that by using E10 we actually burn more actual gasoline than if we were to use plain gasoline with out the E10 contaminate.  Now he wants to decrease the efficiency or fuel even more with E20.  This is nothing more than a huge subsidy to corn growers at the expense of tax payers.  Ethanol is also behind the increase in our food prices due to the increased usage of corn for fuel.  This makes Governor Pawlenty a pawn of the Man Made Global Warming crowd.  As for his fiscal Conservative points he is also failing. While he has held the line on tax increases (except for fees) he has not done much if anything to control spending.  Under Governor Pawlenty the Minnesota budget has increased from $24 Billion to $36 Billion.  That is not a being Conservative, that is spending like a drunken Liberal.

Then we have (Ex)Senator Norm Coleman (R) or is that really a (D) of Minnesota.  He's about to loose his seat by theft to Al 'the not so funny' Franken.  Even though Al is a flaming Socialist I'm not really cheering on Senator Coleman at this point.  Recently a news blurb came out of Washington claiming the buzz was for Coleman to replace Michael Steele as the Chair of the RNC.  Again the problem here is we're letting our opponents choose our leaders.  http://www.mnprogressiveproject.com/diary/2815/norm-coleman-for-rnc-chair

Let me state this as clearly as I can HELL NO!  The RINO Senator Norm Coleman is a leftover warmed-over too many times Liberal Democrat former Mayor (1994-2002) of Saint Paul, MN.  During his first term as Saint Paul's Mayor he switched parties after being run out of the DFL and the labor unions.  That was a huge uproar and controversy in this state.  http://www.nytimes.com/1996/12/20/us/speculation-follows-st-paul-mayor-s-switch-to-republicans.html

He ran as a Republican and was re-elected as mayor in 1997.  Since then he has been labeled as a Conservative, but he has been anything but Conservative on most issues.  He was hated by the Liberals for his support of Israel and his Pro-life stance.  Other than those two issues he's a Liberal.  Senator Coleman is a proponent of Man Made Global Warming and as such he voted against drilling in ANWAR.  This was a critical vote that prevented us from being on the path to freedom from foreign oil.  He was considered a lap dog of President Bush because it was claimed he voted for whatever President Bush wanted.  Well here's a news flash President Bush was not a Conservative either.  He had his Conservative strong points, but failed at controlling spending and then started us down the road of bailout hell.

During this past election season one of Senator Coleman's campaign workers or leaders (not sure which) was reading this blog and called me at home one evening.  She basically begged me to come work on the campaign.  She reasoned that if real Conservatives worked on the campaign then Conservatives might vote for him.  I eventually refused the offer, but not before having fun with this person.  At one point I asked her straight out why should I go support a RINO.  She said she knows the Senator is not a Conservative, but  that in Minnesota there is no way we can get a real Conservative elected.  Again we are letting our opponents decide who we run for office based on main stream media lies.   Real Conservatives can win in Minnesota if you stand up for your true beliefs and refuse to back down from the Liberal attack machine.

We can not have yet another RINO as the chair of the RNC.  We've suffered from Moderatism and we have sunk to minority levels again in the House and Senate.  The only way we can regain strength and return America to it's former glory is to provide a clear bright line between Conservatism and Liberalism.

To this I say we must end this nonsense of Moderatation.

Hey man, lighten up a bit. Your website is pathetic. It's nothing but completely partisan bitching. I see a million gripes and complaints, and things wrong in America, but I don't see you doing or suggesting one thing to make it better. Quite whining and get off your ass and do something.
